Day [1] – 30 Day Challenge

How many times during the year would you get an idea, stick with it for a few days, weeks….and then it just stops, or slowly doesn’t become a priority, or something gets in the way, or you forget about it? 🤚🏿🤚🏿✋🖐
Yup us too!
As I write this I think about the number of (what I thought) were great ideas that I (and the team)put into action but just couldn’t keep up the momentum and it eventually fades into the ether….and I go back to how I used to do things….and back to square one.
During different times as well with global pandemics, family stuff….and all the other daily pressures we just forget to prioritise those things that were once important to us.
Today we want to start the 30 day challenge which is focused on doing things for you (we are going to do it too!), and we are going to write about it. The good things and the bad, the ups and the downs.
What did we do this morning?
We started this morning with a Keep It Cleaner (KIC) High Intensity Workout (20mins) in the living room, followed by 10 minutes of Headspace (meditation). Our minds are so busy in this hyperconnected world that we forget to dump some of that mental load.
We are also using MyFitness Pal as a useful application to track what we eat. This is a good way to quantify what you are eating and hold yourself accountable for what you eat….if eating more healthily is one of your goals within this 30 days.
Use MyFitness Pal to register your goals in terms of nutrition and/or fitness as there are some new features within the application which you can explore. This will ensure the application is tailored for you and your requirements. Remember everyone is different.
Try to diarise time for yourself and stick to it. This might mean going for a morning walk, doing 10 minutes of yoga or meditation. Nobody is lazy as we are all doing things, but we sometimes choose to avoid those activities that bring up negative emotions.
Day 1 starts today. We are also going to post some new recipes this week which will hopefully help with some of that food prep.
